Client context

A townhouse in the eastern suburbs of Johannesburg where the owners mainly needed lights, internet, television and refrigeration to ride through outages.

The challenge

Most quotes bundled far more battery than the home would ever use. The owners wanted an honest system matched to a modest essential load and complex roof.

The Solaris solution

An essential-loads circuit was defined first. A compact hybrid inverter, a single battery module and a small array were sized to that circuit, leaving a documented upgrade path if needs grow.
