Who needs a hybrid system
If outages genuinely cost you (work hours, spoiled stock, security exposure, or plain quality of life) and your bill justifies solar anyway, hybrid is usually the answer. The grid remains your backstop, solar carries the day, and the battery bridges evenings and load-shedding.
Because the grid still absorbs the extremes, hybrid batteries stay moderately sized and the economics stay rational. It is the configuration we install most.
Who genuinely needs off-grid
Full off-grid makes economic sense in specific situations: no grid connection, a connection upgrade quoted at a small fortune, or supply so unreliable it may as well not exist. Farms, lodges, smallholdings and remote homes are the classic cases.
Off-grid design must survive the worst week of winter, not the average day: oversized arrays, generous battery autonomy and a generator that starts itself when weather wins. We size for that week deliberately, and we will tell you plainly if staying grid-connected is the smarter investment.
Generator integration
A generator integrated properly is silent insurance: it starts automatically when batteries run low, carries the load while recharging them, and shuts down when solar recovers. We integrate new or existing generators with automatic changeover, correct sizing and run-hour minimisation, cutting diesel from a daily cost to a rare event.
Borehole and agricultural solutions
On farms, energy and water are the same problem. Solar-driven borehole pumping schedules water into the sunniest hours, storing water in tanks rather than electricity in batteries, which is usually the cheaper store. Combined with cold-room, irrigation and farmhouse loads, we design agricultural systems around the operation's real rhythm.

Remote properties
Distance changes engineering: transport, service access, communications for monitoring and equipment that tolerates harsher conditions. Our remote installations are monitored from our side, so a fault on a farm three hours away is diagnosed before anyone drives.
