Client context

A working smallholding with a farmhouse, cold storage and irrigation boreholes, where a grid connection upgrade was quoted at a prohibitive cost.

The challenge

The property needed dependable power day and night, water pumping matched to solar hours, and a system that farm staff could operate and understand.

The Solaris solution

An off-grid design combined PV, battery storage and a backup generator with automatic start. Borehole pumping was scheduled into peak solar hours, storing water rather than electricity where possible.
